About the Organization

U.S.VETS serves over 2000 veterans every day in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Texas and Washington D.C. providing housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support. We strive to empower each veteran to take responsibility for his or her success, elevate each veteran’s sense of psychological well-being and self-esteem, guide each veteran on the path toward independence in the community, develop and promote each veteran’s workforce skills, and support the recovering veteran by maintaining a drug and alcohol free environment.

About the Opportunity

We serve veterans and are looking for more ways to tell their stories, especially as a large number of veterans are coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD. We want to help them tell their stories to the public and show that there is hope. We are looking for a photographer who would be interested in spending time with our veterans and capturing how we are are able to come alongside them and serve them with counseling services and job training. We'd like to use these images to reach out to more veterans and let them know what is available!
