About the Organization

Our vision is to transform the adventure travel sector by including volunteering as a standard part of every traveler’s plans. Through their efforts/experiences these travelers will contribute substantial and sustainable "Net Positive Impacts" in the more than 40 Muskoka Communities around the world. We seek to achieve our vision by inspiring and equipping adventure travelers, as well as empowering our local partner communities. The traveler is able to “use what they know, to do good as they go” and create sustainable impacts by leveraging their own professional skills. The foundation facilitates this, by finding optimal matches for the traveler with our growing network of partner communities around the world, who have asked for, and support on-going volunteer training programs and relationships.

About the Opportunity

Travel plans? Interested in doing good as you go? Contact The Muskoka Foundation to teach youth the art of photography. We provide the digital cameras and the lesson plans, you enjoy the experience of introducing photography into the lives of the local youth! The five-day photography workshop covers camera mechanics and the fundamentals of photography. The Muskoka Foundation has programs throughout Central and South America, Africa, and Asia. Would you rather stay close to home, we have half a dozen locations around the USA and Canada, all in beautiful travel destinations. You can chose to facilitate a follow-up program, or identify an organization to work with and make a totally new project.
