About the Organization
Sierra Business Council is the only sustainability organization working for economic, social, and environmental change in the Sierra Nevada Region of California and Nevada. We work to protect the viability of communities and open spaces throughout the Sierra Nevada by instituting projects that promote mart community planning, environmental stewardship, economic development, and leadership training.
Our mission is to pioneer innovative projects and approaches that foster community vitality, environmental quality, economic prosperity, and social fairness in the Sierra Nevada.
About the Opportunity
We're looking for assistance enhancing and organizing our archive of photos of the Sierra Nevada. The content of these photos includes downtown architecture, community events and people, natural features and landscapes, examples of smart growth planning and sprawl development, and images of businesses engaging in sustainable business practices in the region.
The geographical diversity of these images is relatively important to us. We care deeply about the beautiful national parks in the Sierra, but we're also looking for images in places that are equally as beautiful but somewhat underrepresented: Modoc County, Kern County, Lassen County, Sierra Foothills, Inyo County, Mono County, Tulare County, El Dorado County, Plumas County, Shasta County, Tehama County, Sierra County, etc.
