About the Organization
Calcutta Rescue will continue and develop its 30-year programme of essential help to people in the harsh conditions of poverty in Kolkata. We will provide free health care, education and ways of combating poverty until people who are disadvantaged and neglected achieve universal and affordable high quality health care together with full educational opportunities for their children.
Calcutta Rescue's mission is to provide free high quality medical, education and employment services to the poorest and most excluded people of Calcutta with the practical support and care which provides for their health and survival, together with opportunities and routes out of poverty. We will work to achieve the lowest possible cost for our services and administration so that more people can be helped with the funds we have
About the Opportunity
The volunteer will be responsible to capture & highlight the work for the poor and marginalised of Calcutta Rescue in alleviating human suffering.The person will be visiting the different medical,educational,vocational training projects of Calcutta Rescue in Kolkata and adjoining rural areas;accompanied by a local staff and discuss and work as per the advise of the local relevant authority.The religious,cultural and local sentiment issues will have to be complied with.The photos will be shared with Calcutta Rescue who will also have the rights to use them for their requirements.
