About the Organization
AHALA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of street children in Latin America through education and social services. AHALA works with a skilled team of educators, psychologists, social workers and volunteers in partnership with CODENI, a children’s rights organization in Guadalajara, Mexico. AHALA and CODENI work in collaboration to build bridges between the U.S. and Mexico, creating solutions to the problems that street children face. Donations made through AHALA enable children to attend school, participate in the street outreach program and receive attention and support from the CODENI team.

To transform the lives of children who work in the streets in Latin America through an integrated support system including education, social work and counseling.

To connect conscientious citizens in the U.S. with dedicated children.
About the Opportunity
We receive foreign volunteers in our programs with children, teens and families in street situations in Guadalajara, México. Volunteers must speak Spanish and be able to make a three-month commitment.
