About the Organization
A Home Within is the only national nonprofit organization focused exclusively on the emotional needs of foster children and youth. Being shuffled from one home to the next and bounced around in the system, foster youth at best struggle to trust adults and at worst often suffer from multiple psychiatric, behavioral, and substance use disorders. A Home Within helps to mitigate these negative and often devastating effects by supporting the mental well-being of this highly vulnerable population. We do this by connecting them with therapists in their local community, each of whom commits to seeing that child or youth in weekly therapy, free of charge and for a long as it takes – be that ten months or ten years. These volunteer therapists are supported by their local chapter’s Clinical Director and Consultation Group Leader.
About the Opportunity
A Home Within is currently creating a new Media Kit to be used by the Development and Marketing department. Additionally, we generate customized promotional materials to advertise our pro-bono services, professional conferences, chapter expansion, and volunteer recruitment. We have volunteer opportunities - on an individual project or ongoing basis - for photographers and graphic artists to contribute to and/or manage. We like to think that we are a fun and hard-working team that enjoys creative collaboration, and we're working for a great cause - join us!
